A family tradition

since 1983

Chianti Classico is where it all began in 1983, when the Badii family fell in love with this generous and captivating land. They purchased a historic estate once belonging to the noble Principi Corsini family, and from that moment, a journey of passion, bold choices, and hard work took shape.
Over time, Il Colle has grown with care and dedication, staying true to an authentic vision of Tuscan rural life and winemaking rooted in tradition.
Today, Silvia Badii represents the new generation and the natural evolution of this family project. Determined, skilled, and deeply connected to her land, Silvia brings new energy while honoring the values passed down to her.
Her hands-on presence—both in the vineyard and in welcoming guests to the winery—is the beating heart of Il Colle, a true expression of Chianti Classico.

San Casciano

Land of Chianti Classico

San Casciano in Val di Pesa is one of the historic towns within the Chianti Classico DOCG.
This area, nestled between Florence and Siena, is known for its scenic beauty, the quality of its soils, and a microclimate that’s ideal for growing both vines and olive trees.
Il Colle is located right in this privileged part of Chianti Classico, at an altitude and position that ensure excellent temperature variation and natural ventilation.
These conditions result in wines that are elegant, complex, and built to age — as well as a high-quality extra virgin olive oil.
